Call the ION API from Postman
In Postman, paste the request URL into the URL field:
On the Authorisation tab, change the type to OAuth 2.0, and click the Get New Access Token button:
Change the Grant Type to Password Credentials and fill up all the gapes.
Click Request Token. This will return a token. Click Use Token. This will put the token into the Access Token field. Click Send to call the ION API.
Add your Data to Infor
Go to ION Desk and add your data to the Data Catalog.
Add the object name and be careful with choosing the right Enclosing Character.
On the next page you can choose the data type you want to use. In this example we are using string. Click to Next and Finish.
Create Connections Points and Data Flow
Create a new Connection Point as Infor Application. Fill up all the obligatory gapes and add by clicking on the + sign by the documents your uploaded data above.
Now create a data flow as date lake flow. Add an Application and an Ingest to the flow. By the application point you have to add an actual application and between both points you have to choose your Document. Save and activate it.
Add your Code to Postman
In this example we are using a simple code. The purpose ist when we turn on and off a light in a different room, it will show us true or false.
Data Lake and Code execution
Now you can execute your code in Postman by pressing Send. On the bottom you can see if it was published successfully.
Then you can go back to ION Desk and open Compass in Data Lake. There you find your document. Press the three points. Choose SQL and Select.
If you run the Query and all went right it will post the results from your code.
